In TaxStatus, Households are defined as any two people who file jointly, their dependents, businesses, trusts, and estates.
If you are using your consent link without prefilling household information, you may end up with clients in separate households. You can easily move clients (and their associated businesses) to a different household.
Hover to the left of the person's name you want to move. A new icon will appear.
Click it to select the person. It will change color.
Click to the left of the household to place this person. If this person signs for a business, the business will move along with them.
The process takes a few seconds. Pay attention to the spinning circle on your browser tab to see if the system is still working for you.
