Email notifications when IRS data arrives

TaxStatus Admins can adjust email notifications

Your company's TaxStatus Administrator(s) can adjust which email address(es) receive notifications when taxpayers sign their consents, when records are first available, and when changes occur in taxpayer transcripts. Settings that impact all taxpayers in your portfolio are made from the Company Settings page - only visible to users with Admin access.

In the Company Defaults, Admins can adjust the email address(es) that receive notification when taxpayers sign their consents and when records are first made available by the IRS. To enter multiple email addresses, separate them by commas (,) and NO SPACES. Save any changes.

Adjusting Portfolio Monitoring for specific areas of interest are also made in Company Settings. In the Portfolio Monitor section, choose your preferred notification topics and enter the email address(es) you'd like notified when those changes occur. You may set different topics to notify different email addresses (i.e., all compliance activity notifies [email protected]).

You can adjust monitoring for a specific taxpayer in one of two ways:

  1. When tax records are available, click on the number of records from your home page. Choose the Notifications tab and configure which email addresses should be notified about IRS activity for that specific taxpayer.

  2. Prior to records becoming available, use the Individuals and Businesses click on the taxpayer of interest. Navigate to the Notifications tab and configure as above.
