First, follow the steps to enter an individual and/or business. When you select the box next to Request tax records for this person/business, the option to download the unsigned form will appear.
Print and have the taxpayer sign (full signatures are required) and date the form.
Scan and save a clear file to your computer as a pdf file. Dark or pixilated images cannot be submitted to the IRS.
Follow these steps to upload the form:
From your home screen, select the name of the person or business whose wet-signed authorizations you would like to upload. You may want to use the search bar.
On the left, on "No authorization yet"
On the right, choose the option to Upload Wet-Signed IRS form 8821 pdf.
Select the appropriate file from your computer.
