TaxStatus monitors requests submitted to the IRS. If they do not fulfill the request upon initial submission, it is automatically resubmitted when we no longer receive data from the submission date. If the IRS did not authorize the request upon second submission, it is considered denied.
If the IRS denies a request, something about the request does not match the IRS records.
The IRS will not fulfill a new request unless it is edited to match their files and a fresh signature and date are obtained. Follow the steps below.
To edit and send a new consent request:
Open the taxpayer details page.
Scroll down and click Scope (next to ‘Request tax records for this person).
Click Reset request (for new signature).
Make edits, then click Save details.
To send the new consent request to your client, click Send consent request, or manually send your custom link.
Once your client signs the new consent, a new order will be submitted to the IRS.
