IRS Notices

Can I get a copy of IRS notices and letters mailed to taxpayers?

Updated over 10 months ago

The IRS sometimes mails notices and/or letters to taxpayers. These are sent out on paper by mail and are not issued electronically. Depending on the specific notice, this mailing may or may not be recorded on the taxpayer's transcript. If present, you can find this information on the taxpayer's Account Transcript for the relevant filing period.

If you are a tax professional who already receives paper copies of client notices and letters, please reach out to [email protected] if you would like to connect your IRS professional account to the TaxStatus system. Please note that depending on your current TaxStatus plan, additional fees may apply.
